Cottonwood Shed StoreAUTHORIZED BUILDING DEALERQuestions before you visit?
Delivery, setup, payment options and visiting the lot.
How much does delivery cost?
For buildings eligible for delivery, the first 30 one-way miles from the building’s lot are included. Beyond that, the mileage rate depends on the building’s width. If the listing has a delivery calculator, enter your address to see the estimated mileage and delivery charge. You can also ask the dealer for an estimate.
The estimate covers mileage. The dealer confirms the route, access, permits and any additional services. In California, 16′-wide buildings are built on site rather than delivered.
Can I make monthly payments?
Rent-to-own is available on eligible buildings. Look for the monthly payment and term on the building’s page. If those details are missing, ask the dealer for the payment options for that building.
Cash purchase and rent-to-own are different payment arrangements. Ask the dealer to explain the amount due to start, applicable taxes and early payoff terms before choosing your payment option.
What is included with setup?
For delivered buildings, basic setup includes leveling up to 3 feet at the highest corner, pressure-treated blocks, and door and window adjustments.
The dealer confirms site access and placement with you. If your property needs additional preparation or services, discuss those before scheduling so you know what needs to be done and whether there is an extra charge.
Can I choose a different size, color or layout?
Yes. Use the 3D Builder to explore a different size, color, door arrangement or package. If you like a building on the lot but need something changed, tell the dealer which building you are starting from and what you would like to do differently.
The dealer can help you compare options and confirm the design, pricing and current estimated timing before you order.
Which buildings are available to buy?
Browse the inventory for available photos, listed prices and lot locations. Open a listing to compare its size, package, doors, windows and interior photos where available. Check the listing’s availability before visiting.
A reserved building is being held for another customer. If the one you like is reserved or sold, ask the dealer about a similar available building or ordering one with the features you want.
Can I walk through a building before choosing?
Visit the lot to compare sizes and ask about walking through available buildings. Seeing the doors, floor space and interior in person can help you decide what will fit your needs.
Check the location’s hours, or request an appointment. If you are coming to see one particular building, include its lot number or inventory number. The dealer will contact you to confirm the time.
When will my building arrive?
Timing depends on the building and delivery scheduling. Custom orders may have a different timeline from buildings already on the lot. Ask the dealer for the current estimate. Your delivery or build date is confirmed when it is scheduled.
What should I check before delivery?
Tell the dealer where you want the building placed and describe the route to that spot. Mention narrow access, slopes or anything else that could affect getting the building onto your property.
Ask the dealer to review the access and site preparation needed for your building before purchasing. Basic setup and delivery mileage do not cover every property condition or additional service.
Are taxes included in the listed price?
The cash price and monthly payment shown on a building’s page are before tax. Delivery beyond the included mileage and any additional services may also affect your total.
For a quote, tell the dealer which building you want and where it will be delivered or built. They can confirm the applicable tax, delivery requirements and final amount with you.
Can I buy a building online?
If a listing has a Buy Online or Buy or Rent Online button, it takes you to Old Hickory’s checkout for that building. Review the building and payment details there before completing your purchase.
If the button is unavailable, contact the dealer about availability and your next step. Reserved and sold buildings may still give you ideas for a similar building or a custom order.
What warranty comes with my building?
Ask whether a manufacturer warranty applies to the building you are considering. The dealer can provide its coverage and exclusions. Keep those details with your purchase paperwork.
If you need help after your purchase, contact the dealership with the building’s lot number or inventory number and a description of the issue.
How do I ask about a particular building?
Send your question from the building’s page. If you call instead, have the lot number or inventory number handy so the dealer can find the right building.
